A day i will never ever forget as long as i live.
On this day, Norway experienced something so evil, that i still have difficulties believing it 3 days after.

1 man alone, went on a killing-spree, believing it was something he had to to to save Norway and Europe from ourselves, and from the muslims.  It’s his belief, that in not to many years, WE will thank him for doing this… Because it was neccacary.

His words excactly. “It was gruesome, but it needed to be done”

I have never before in my life felt like i did through this weekend. I’ve lost friends before, and i’ve lost and mourned family members. But this man brought out something else…I’ve never had such a strong feeling before, that something was so meaningless, and so so terribly wrong..

We still don’t know excactly how many lives he managed to take on july 22nd. But whatever that number ends on… each and every life taken is a tragedy.

Today, around 50 000 people gathered in the centre of Bergen, with candles & roses in our hands, to mourn the lives lost, and support the ones who are left behind. Almost 200 000 gathered in Oslo, and thousands more in the other cities around Norway.

The message to this man is clear! And i won’t mention his name, just because i never ever want to actually put his name in writing. He doesn’t deserve it.

You were hoping that we’d be scared and start a war. But instead, we stick together, stronger than ever.

Here are some pics from my weekend in Oslo. Friday I played a 3 hour warm up set for Adrian Lux at Emil & Samuel, and satyrday I played at Extrema. Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures from later on during the festival. Didn’t have my phone! Oh well… shit happens, was a fun day, but by the end of the festival I was so tired I just went to the hotel-room and collapsed. Slept till the next day! Was planning to go out for the afterparty but I was totally beat up after only a few hours sleep the days before.

Let’s all hope that Extrema returns in 2012!

Extrema Outdoor Norway was slaughtered in the press last year because they arrested 80 ppl for possesion/use of drugs. For a long time it wasn’t even sure that they would allow Extrema to be arranged again this year! Finally they gave them the benefit of the doubt and said yes. So of course, media, police, politicians are just waiting to dig up all the dirt they can find on the festival this year.

This year nearly 200 ppl were arrested, and now it seems that the festival might not be allowed again. The press is once more flooded with headlines about drugs, and all of us who attends are labeled as drug-users, just because we are into EDM. I’m sick of being labeled like that, and just my thought on the whole official anthem thing…. that track is not helping… or?

With that being said, Extrema was absoluely amazing. I spent almost 12 hours on Kalvøya this saturday, and loved every minute of it! I really hope that Extrema returns in 2012, and that the police here will realize that shutting down the festival won’t fix the problem. There are a small amount of ppl that turn to drugs to have fun, they shouldn’t be allowed to ruin the fun for the rest of us! See u in 2012!!

Last Saturday I played at Emil & Samuel again. Always look forward to playing there as the people there really knows how to PARTY!

The Viva-girls were amazing as always, and even though the power went out in the DJ-booth a couple of time, people partied like there was no tomorrow (including me, thankx for the wine)

I’ll be back at Emil & Samuel on June 24th, where I’ll be warming up the terrace for Adrian Luux! Afterwards I’ll be playing b2b inside with Eddie Da Bass.
Saturday 25th you will find us at Extrema Outdoors at Kalvøya.
Make sure you are there early, you wouldn’t want to miss the free picknik.

Eddie Da Bass will start the show with the opening set at the CLUB STAGE 11.00 AM. I’m playing from 13.00 PM till 14.30. After that I’ll be dancing my ass off to all the other DJ’s playing at the festival.

In a room without windows, overfilled with synthesizers, guitars, records and computers, the creativity of three minds form the band Blackroom. The three Norwegians got together over a common passion for moody pop, electronic sounds and live performances, making their own musical universe. Mixing catchy melodies with influences from more beat-oriented music is their trademark, and the band deliver an engraving live-show with lead singer Ole in front, suitably flanked by synthman Paal and guitarist Anders.
